It’s time to celebrate! NBC’s The Voice 5th Coach app won the Best Social TV Integration of Facebook award at the 2012 Social TV Awards on Tuesday night. After weeks of developing the interactive game that mirrored the actual TV show, the staff here at Invoke are definitely excited about the recognition. You can read about the social media strategy behind the development in this interview with our co-CEO, Dario Meli featured on Lost Remote.

For the first time, Social TV Summit, an executive conference on how social media is affecting how we view content on second screens, hosted their own awards show to recognize industry leaders for their use of innovative technology in the exploding social TV space. Twenty winners and Best of Show were announced at the formal black tie event in Los Angeles and received the custom made trophy known as the “STEEVEE”.

Finalists ranged from major broadcast and cable networks, such as Bravo Network, USA Networks, NBC and FOX Broadcasting, to Pepsi, Chrysler and other brands and companies trailblazing Social TV.

Huge congratulations goes out to NBC, who took home not one but three awards that night – Best Social Commerce for NBC’s Fashion Star, Best Broadcast Network Social TV Award and as mentioned earlier, Best Social TV Integration of Facebook for NBC’s The Voice 5th Coach app. Check out the full list of winners on Lost Remote.

We’ll be watching the evolution of social TV very closely, all while toasting to an amazing, award-winning year!
